Gennady Podolny

Senior Grants Administrator

Gennady Podolny is the Senior Grants Administrator of The U.S. Russia Foundation. Mr. Podolny has over 15 years of experience in the Russian non-profit sector as well as project and grant management experience, including monitoring and evaluating Russian-American partnerships in social and economic development.

Mr. Podolny served as Operations and Compliance Specialist for American Councils for International Education (2016-2017). From 2009 to 2015, he worked as Grants Manager with The U.S. Russia Foundation in Moscow. Prior to this role, he was the Director of Finance and Administration (2005-2009) for the National Foundation for the Prevention to Cruelty to Children as well as the Head of Development and Resource Mobilization for the New Eurasia Foundation. Additionally, Mr. Podolny served as Program Director at IREX (2001 – 2004) where he launched and managed the Russian-American partnership grant program funded by USAID.

Mr. Podolny received both a Master’s Degree in Economics and a Master of Science in Applied Math from Kuban State University in Krasnodar, Russia. He is a member of the American Evaluation Association.
